Men's Sports    
Hobart competes in the newly name Liberty League (formerly the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Conference) against teams from across New York state. Offering 11 men’s varsity sports, including D1 lacrosse, the Hobart athletics program is one of the strongest in its conference. In 2003-2004, the program took home five conference titles. Hobart offers varsity competition in several unique sports, not often found at D3 institutions, including crew, sailing, and squash.

The Statesmen dominated the 2004 UCAA post-season awards. The team earned the Varsity Eight of the Year, the Novice Eight of the Year, and the Coach of the Year awards.

Football

Hobart had a breakout season in 2004, winning the ECAC West regular season and Tournament and advancing to their first NCAA Tournament.

Lacrosse Division I

Hobart won 16 National Championships (13 D3, 2 D2, and 1 USILA) before making the transition to D1 where it has continued to excel, making NCAA Tournament appearances in 1998, 2000, 2002, and 2004.

Sailing

Hobart is one of the preeminent institutions to compete in the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association. The team has featured 29 ICSA All-Americans and taken home four second place and four third place finishes at the ICSA Championships.

Soccer

After a breakout season in 2003 that saw the team finish the season ranked 16th nationally, Hobart has their sights set on a conference championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2004.

Squash

Tennis
